The Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers' Association (JAIMA) aims to promote science & technology by improving the technology of analytical instruments and advancing the sophistication of the analytical instruments industry. Founded in 1960, with a purpose of contributing to the development of the Japanese economy and improving the quality of life, JAIMA marks its 65th anniversary of establishment this year. In such a year of milestone, it is our goal to reaffirm the significance of JAIMA's reason for being and to continue to develop its future, all while contributing to the development of society.
2024 was a year with major political and economic changes in Japan and abroad. As a result, 2025 is likely to be the year in which changes around the world begin to take shape.
We at JAIMA, as a member of the global analytical equipment industry, which works to support the foundations of many industries, are influenced to some extent by the global economy, similarly to responses to major societal changes seen in the past. And now more than ever, we believe that flexible and quick operations are required.
Moreover, as an essential value of analytical technology, for working to create a more secure, sustainable, and prosperous world, and for the fields of life sciences, semiconductors, new energy, and the use of generative AI where innovation is accelerating, etc., we must work to provide new technologies, new products, and new services.
Therefore, in such business environment around the world, JAIMA hopes to continue serving as a hub for the analytical instrument industry, toward promoting domestic and international collaboration in information and technology.
And to conclude, JASIS, which is JAIMA's main exhibition event, will be held again this year from September 3 to 5 at Makuhari Messe. We aim to make JASIS even more fulfilling, and we will continue to ensure that we have even more exhibitors and visitors than last year. We always appreciate your continued support and cooperation.
